CT Networks Leverages Cisco IPT Technology to Assist Major Healthcare Center to Increase Safety and Upgrade Campuswide Infrastructure

Since 1919, UHGC has provided skilled nursing and rehabilitative care to Westchester County and the New York metropolitan area. As part of their expansion, this was the perfect opportunity for UHGC to refresh their current technology as well as to institute state of the art technologies throughout all their campuses.

As a specialized IPT Cisco partner, CT Networks was able to ascertain and tackle all of the sophisticated needs of deploying a CallManager VoIP solution. The introduction of wireless features and functionality allowed UHGC to take full advantage of all of the Cisco technology available. Upon continued discovery, the overall solution required the conglomeration of additional technology from CT Networks’ partners.

A decision was made to engage those additional CT Networks partners: IgeaCare Nurse Call for real time connection of healthcare, maintenance and administrative staff; Wandering Patient for the safety of residents that might stray off campus; Vicon for security and surveillance of the entire property. The cabling division of CT Networks was deeply ensconced in the determination of what cable components were required to deploy a successful survivable cabling infrastructure.

Barry Goldstein, President and Founder of CT Networks remarked, “There are many intricacies to a rollout of such magnitude. Only a true interconnect company could understand the project scope and recommend the proper solution. Cisco technology, coupled with all of the other applications made for a closed loop communication system.” Goldstein continued, “Our depth and breadth of experience and product reach, as well as our successful deployment of many different communication systems and technologies, clearly made CT Networks the prevailing vendor.”

At the conclusion of an array of extensive meetings, CT Networks was able to determine each and every detail of the project. Residents were of paramount concern to both UHGC and CT Networks. Both shared in the mutual goal of ensuring community residents would be accommodated immediately in the event of an emergency.

“It has always been rewarding to work with customers that truly benefit from the high level of technology we inject into their environments,” said Barry Goldstein. “We know that the communications gear provided by Cisco and our other partners will benefit UGHC immensely.” Goldstein concluded.

The marriage of many complex technologies acting in unison will provide a truly complete unified communications platform for UGHC to enjoy for years to come.
